Performance Characteristics of Epoxy Modified Open Graded Friction Course (OGFC) By Post-doping Methods

Abstract To improve drainage properties and increase driver’s safety in wet weather, epoxy modified Open Graded Friction Course (OGFC) by post-doping methods was proposed. The predominant focus of this paper evaluated the performances such as rutting resistance at high-temperature, crack low temperature, friction, moisture coefficient permeability. For comparison, same NMAS friction course with asphalt which supplied courtesy ChemCo Systems Ltd SK High-Viscosity Asphalt were cited. In addition, harsh construction requirements application limitations caused residence time solved post-mixing process produced two steps, First step, component B backyard plant, then suitable amount A added mixed evenly while paving site, affecting holding only links rolling, easy to control. results show that graded reinforced Basalt fiber has good permeability retaining satisfactory performance mechanical properties.
